What types of kits are available?

January (Available after January 16th)
Amarone Mondiale (From Italy)  $224.49
Just thinking about how Amarone is made evokes excitement when it is tasted. Ruby-red when it is young, the colour deepens with age. It has an exciting nose with aromas of very ripe cherries and plums with a touch of liquorice. It leaves an enjoyable sensation of fruit, spices and even coffee on the palate. Tight tannins and a high level of alcohol give a robust wine with long lasting flavors on the finish. This is a rich, well-structured dry wine, fruity and liqueur-like with the noble bitterness that typifies Amarone. It is also very enjoyable as an after dinner drink when discussions get passionate. 14.5% alcohol.

Rojo Grande (From Chile) $235.49
With Red Raisins Mosti Mondiale Proprietary Blend This wine is a blend of Chilean Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere. It has a deep garnet robe with violet reflections. The attack is aggressive, almost overpowering, and then the wine starts to unfold and its rich earthy tones become evident. The hint of peppers and spice are in perfect harmony with the abundant ripe red berries. The bouquet is of wild berries with a vegetal hint and a slight “leathery” finish. 14.5% alcohol.

Pinot Grigio Del Veneto (From Italy) $207.49
Becoming better and better known outside its native Italy, it is creating a new infatuation everywhere in the world. Brilliant translucent yellow in colour, it has pleasing aromas of lemon trees and pear blossom. Its attractive flavors of tropical fruit and green apples give Pinot Grigio an air of novelty. Medium full bodied with fine acidity, it stimulates the taste buds with its aromatic bouquet. 12% alcohol.

Yakima Valley Gewurztraminer (From Washington State) $207.49
An early Washington  success story due to its cold winter hardiness. The Yakima Valley Gewürztraminer has a spicy bouquet. The allspice flavors are enhanced by hints of tropical fruit. A true original! 11.5% alcohol.

February (Available after February 13th)

Barolo Mondiale with Raisins $224.49
This proprietary blend from Mosti, made from the Nebbiolo grape, it is a wine of magnificent garnet-red colour with a light purple hint at the rim. It has aromas of blackberries, violets and truffles on the nose. The wine itself is splendidly robust, complex, full bodied and mouth filling. Its very noticeable tannins, evident acidity and herbal bouquet give it a fine roundness and it has a clean and lively attack thanks to its high level of alcohol. 14-15% alcohol.

Carmenere (From Chile) $219.49
This variety is considered as the flagship red wine of Chile. It was not until recently that the Carmenere has been identified as its own varietal dating back to pre Phylloxera France. For centuries, in Chile, the Carmenere has been mistaken for Merlot. This wine is BIG, SOFT and spicy all at once. The ever-present oak enhances the mouth filling flavours.14.5% alcohol.

Sangiovese Toscano (From Italy) $207.49
A marvelous grape variety produced mainly in Tuscany from which Chianti is made. It is ruby-red tinted with a touch of orange at the rim. Delightful aromas of red cherries and plums are present on the bouquet accompanied by flavors of fruit in moderation with hints of mineral and leather. A clean attack, supported by firm acidity and tannins gives it a powerful character. It can age for a certain amount of time but rarely more than ten years. At maturity, its bouquet and flavor will have attained an incomparably attractive level of softness. 12.5% alcohol.

Yakima Valley Riesling (From Washington State) $197.99
One of the first varietals to bring international attention to Washington wines. The Yakima Valley Riesling offers a very floral nose with intense apricot peach flavors. This wine has a good acidity level and can be vinted in an off dry or sweet style using Mosti Mondiale's C.C. conditioner (supplied). If you're the adventurous type, you will want to make it dry and let the Riesling's flavors take control. 12% alcohol

March (Available after March 13th)

Cabernet Sauvignon Del Veneto (From Italy) $207.49
The popularity of this jewel never stops growing. With its sparkling ruby-red colour and radiant flashes of violet, the wine has a bewitching bouquet of fruit slowly ripened in the sun, interwoven with herbal notes. There are captivating flavours of blackberries and raspberries accompanied by a touch of pepper, a particular characteristic of Cabernet Sauvignon. Its tannins are well set and balanced giving it a distinctive complexity and it is remarkably full-bodied because of its natural acidity and good level of alcohol, giving the wine its structure and confirming its excellent capacity for aging. A wine that has warmth, good structure and good length on the palate. 12.5% alcohol.

Rojo Intenso (From Chile) $235.49
This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. Dark ruby in colour, this wine has an intense nose of ripe berries (raspberries, black currant etc.), which intertwine perfectly with the smoky oak nose. To the palate it reveals a chunky fruit character with hints of ripe plums. Perfectly balanced alcohol, acidity and body make for a “heady” wine in more ways than one. 14-15% alcohol.

Merlot Del Veneto (From Italy)  $207.49

This is increasingly becoming a worthy competitor of Cabernet Sauvignon. It is especially distinguished by its attractive colour, rather like youngsters, blushing a beautiful scarlet-red at their success. It has a nose of small red berry fruit with subtle hints of violets and its flavours of freshly made field berry jam have just a touch of chocolate. It gives a wine that is dry with soft tannins and moderate acidity leaving a lovely feeling of roundness on the palate. It has excellent balance of finesse, suppleness and a vigour that promises immediate enjoyment. 12.5% alcohol.

Chardonnay Del Veneto (From Italy)  $207.49
This is a contemporary Italian, distinguished by its refinement. Pale straw yellow in colour with a marvelous harmony of aromas of tropical fruit and flowering shrubs, it has flavours of passion fruit and freshly gathered citrus fruits. Its naturally high level of acidity gives it a much sought after fresh and lively taste. Fleshy and well balanced, it is a refined wine that is appropriate for all occasions. 12% alcohol.
